You’ll move through the canyon as a small group, at an unhurried pace, stopping at the spots where the light and rock formations line up best for photos. The walk itself covers roughly 0.3 miles round trip and takes about 50–60 minutes inside the slot, with check-in and a short safety briefing before you go in.
If you’ve added the full-day option from Las Vegas, the canyon tour is the centerpiece of a longer day that also stops at Horseshoe Bend the famous overlook where the Colorado River bends 270 degrees around a sandstone plateau with a deli-style lunch included on the drive.
Tours run daily with multiple departure times. Duration ranges from 1 hour for the standard canyon-only ticket up to roughly 13 hours for the full-day Las Vegas option. All tours operate on Mountain Standard Time year-round (Arizona does not observe daylight saving time), so double-check the time zone shown at checkout against your home time zone.
Arrival Arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled start time for check-in and a safety briefing.
Physical Requirements Terrain is mostly flat, though the exit includes some stairs. Not recommended for pregnant guests or those with mobility limitations. Children under 7 are not permitted. Not wheelchair or stroller accessible.
Not Allowed No bags, tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, hiking sticks, pets or video recording inside the canyon. Flash photography is prohibited. Do not touch the canyon walls they’re a fragile, actively eroding sandstone formation.
