Overview Of Activity

The moment the doors close behind you, City Walk disappears. Warm, humid air settles around you at a steady 26–28°C the exact climate a real rainforest canopy needs to survive while mist drifts off hidden waterfalls and parrots call somewhere above the leaf line. Your path spirals around the dome’s central tree, climbing through four distinct habitats. At Forest Floor level, tortoises and porcupines move through undergrowth at eye level. One level up, the Flooded Rainforest holds fish, caimans and turtles in a recreated flood-plain. The Midstory brings you face-to-face with free-roaming birds and reptiles and at the top, the Canopy walkway puts you at treetop height, looking down through the exact same emerald ceiling the animals call home. Nothing here is behind thick glass. Birds fly past your shoulder. A sloth might be dozing three feet from the walkway. It’s designed to feel less like an exhibit and more like an actual expedition into a shrinking ecosystem most visitors will never get to see in the wild.

Green Planet isn’t a walk-through-and-leave attraction it rewards slowing down. Budget 1.5 to 3 hours to properly work through all four levels, longer if you add an animal encounter or stop for keeper talks.
