LEGOLAND New York Resort opened in 2021 in Goshen, in New York’s Hudson Valley, and immediately became the biggest LEGOLAND park on the planet bigger than the original LEGOLAND parks in Denmark, California, Florida or the UK. Built with over 30 million LEGO bricks and more than 15,000 LEGO models, it’s designed specifically for kids aged 2 to 12, though the seven themed lands genuinely give the whole family something to do. The park splits into distinct zones: LEGO City for driving and firefighting adventures, LEGO NINJAGO World for the motion-sensor NINJAGO ride, Bricktopia with the Dragon Coaster and Forestmen’s Hideout, Miniland USA’s brick-built cityscapes, LEGO Castle, LEGO Factory and Pirate Shores. The new LEGO Ferrari Build and Race attraction adds a design-your-own-race-car element that’s unique to this park.

A day at LEGOLAND New York moves at a kid’s pace there’s no rush between attractions and most rides are built for younger children to enjoy independently or alongside a parent. Start in LEGO City to earn an official LEGOLAND Driver’s License, then work through Bricktopia for the Dragon Coaster before the lines build up.

By midday, MINILAND is worth a slow walk-through the brick-built American landmarks are genuinely impressive up close. Save LEGO Ferrari Build and Race for when your kids have energy left to actually build something, since it’s as much a workshop as a ride. In summer, the Water Playground is a welcome break from the heat.
