The lights dim, the music swells, and within seconds the stage in front of you is a swimming pool. Performers appear from nowhere diving from 25 metres up, spinning through the air on aerial rigs, or racing motorbikes inside a spinning steel globe. Then, just as fast, the water disappears and the stage becomes solid ground again for the next scene. The show tells the story of Dubai itself: a city built on pearl diving that grew into one of the world’s most futuristic skylines. Real-time projections wrap around the walls, floor, and dome of the theatre, so the story surrounds you rather than sitting in front of you. With 270-degree seating, every one of the 1,300+ seats gets a clear view of the stage.
