Overview Of Activity

The moment you step into the tunnel, the mall noise disappears. Blue light ripples overhead, sand tiger sharks cruise past in slow motion and rays sweep the glass just above your head 300+ of them sharing one 10-million-litre tank that stretches 51 metres long and 20 metres wide. Upstairs on Level 2, the Underwater Zoo unfolds in three zones. In the Rainforest Zone, arapaima among the largest freshwater fish on the planet share space with piranhas and archerfish. The Rocky Shore Zone is where otters dart and play. And at Penguin Cove, 16 Gentoo penguins waddle, dive and slide down their built-in ramp into chilled water kept at Sub-Antarctic temperatures, with lighting engineered to mimic their natural day-night cycle.
